Srushti Deshmukh has started preparations for the UPSC entry in her 3rd year in engineering. During her graduation she was unsure if she could be happy in the engineering role. In the end, she realized that civil services was her passion and focused on it. Parents encouraged her to prepare for civil services and pursue an impact in the community. Her focus was on being an IAS officer. To achieve UPSC, you have to do more. She used to study her engineering classes and study for UPSC in addition to studying other topics. Each day she would set aside time to study for her exam. The time she spent was just one month preparing for the exams and stayed off Facebook and other social media in her daily life. She believes that focus and concentration are essential to pass the exam to be a government official. She was determined to get through the test quickly, so she was able to put in a lot of hours. She used to read newspapers to keep up-to-date on daily news. Also, she received a lot of assistance online, acquiring various studying materials as well as taking in Rajya Sabha TV.
